St. Vrain Cidery is a labor of love borne from the tastebuds of owners Dean and Cindy Landi, and cidermaker, Dan Daugherty. In 2014, Cindy and Dean found themselves ready for a new business adventure and thus began the search for a brilliant cidermaker. Dan’s online blog and reputation in the cider community brought them together, and St. Vrain Cidery was born!

The St. Vrain Apple was last seen in 1891 by a farmer taking inventory of Colorado fruits. The name St. Vrain runs deep in the city of Longmont’s history, and our cidery’s name honors this regional apple and our city. We are committed to community collaboration and local philanthropy, as well as to providing the best cider destination tap house in Colorado.

co-founder, president

Dean’s love of nature and anything fermented makes his decision to open a cidery feel right. He loves the process of taking simple apples and making an all-natural product that brings the community together. Dean moved to Colorado to work with leaders in renewable energy and prior to that was a marine biologist doing shark and ground-fish research. He is not great at keeping track of his shoes but he is known to grow a killer beard. #deansbeard

co-founder, ceo

Cindy’s background in customer services gives her a strong drive to exceed expectations and provide the best experience possible. She has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and has dreamed of having her own business for some time. She most recently worked with a team that grew a start-up nonprofit from $850k to $1.6M annually and prior to that she worked for 15 years in the hospitality industry. She is slightly addicted to sweet tea. #southerngirl

co-founder, cidermaker

Dan is a cider enthusiast and a staple in the craft brewing and fermenting communities. His decade-plus long experience brewing cider started as a hobby and grew into an obsession. This obsession led him to winning two awards for SVC in 2016, a silver and a bronze, for his yummy creations. Dan’s well-received blog highlights his keen understanding of the fast growing cider industry. If you want to learn more about cider come find Dan at our taproom and ask. #cidersage

production manager

If the name Cyn Goodman looks familiar to you, it’s probably because you have bumped into her cruising on her bike around town or at one of the many local beer festivals our community enjoys. Cyn is a volunteer and long-time member of Ales4FemAles and Left Hand Beer Club. She has served as a contributing interviewer on the Colorado Beer Trail, and worked as a spirits buyer at Whole Foods before we stole her away. She is now #excidered to be working with Dean and Dan to bring you our award winning ciders. #cynsational

cider dogs

We’re pretty sure Mycroft taught his owner Dan everything he knows about cider. His ability to sniff out notes and characteristics of ciders makes him a real legend in these parts. He thanks you for letting him live his dream as a CiderDog. Grace doesn’t know much about cider, but she did supervise the construction of the taproom. She apologizes for the delays getting the doors open and suggests that you take her approach of just going with the flow. #ciderdogs
