About the ArtistS
Jessie Redak
Jessie Redak's photography has been described as minimalist and pure. Drawn to subjects that spark curiosity or evoke a personal feeling, she strives to capture authentic moments through her lens. While not every shot turns out exactly as envisioned, the pursuit of that perfect photograph is where she finds the greatest joy.
Grateful for the spontaneity her iPhone allows, Jessie embraces the freedom to photograph whenever inspiration strikes. Whether it takes one photo or one hundred, digital photography has made it possible to preserve moments that might otherwise have been missed.
Her love of photography began in high school, where she learned to develop film and gained a deep appreciation for the honesty of unmanipulated images. Today, her editing remains intentionally minimal—typically limited to thoughtful cropping, with little to no color enhancement.
For Jessie, seeing a photograph come to life in print and frame is deeply rewarding. Even more meaningful is the opportunity to share those images with others.
With countless places still to explore and moments waiting to be captured, her photographic journey is far from over.
LUCAS FARLOW
"I feel very liberated when I make art. There are really no limits to what I want to show on the canvas. It gives me more freedom than I have in real life."
Lucas Farlow (he/him) has been creating art for as long as he can remember. After years of focusing on drawing, a painting class sparked a passion that transformed his artistic practice. During a period of loneliness and depression, painting became both an emotional outlet and a source of purpose.
Living with Cerebral Palsy, Lucas experiences chronic back and leg pain that can make everyday activities challenging. Yet when he paints, he becomes completely immersed. "Time flies for me," he says. "I can paint for usually up to three or four hours at a time." For Lucas, the creative process makes the physical challenges worthwhile.
Inspired by the world around him, Lucas finds beauty in cars, landscapes, and everyday moments. His love of automobiles often appears in his work—a passion fueled by his own Mustang, visits to car shows, and an early dream of becoming a car designer. He also draws inspiration from the vibrant online community of artists, where social media provides a constant exchange of ideas and imagery.
For Lucas, creating art is both a form of freedom and a path toward the future. As he puts it, being part of ArtLifting "will be the push in the right direction I need in order to solidify myself as an artist."
